The DStv Premiership was in full swing this past weekend with Orlando Pirates recording the biggest victory with their 7-1 demolition job of coach Steve Komphela’s Golden Arrows at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night. The three points took coach Jose Riveiro’s side to third spot on the log, two points behind Stellenbosch FC who still have a game in hand.

Royal AM did their chances of moving away from the relegation a world of good by beating Polokwane City 3-2 at Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday. Coach John Maduka’s side now find themselves 13th on the log with 28 points from 22 matches.

Chippa United added salt into coach Cavin Johnson’s Kaizer Chiefs wound with a 2-0 victory at Buffalo City Stadium on Saturday. Co-coached by Kwanele Kopo and Thabo September, the Gqeberha-based outfit will fancy their chances of finishing in the Top Eight when the final whistle blows on this campaign. They have amassed 29 points from their 23 league games so far. They’ve scored 21 and conceded the same number of goals in the process.

Richards Bay are seemingly pulling out all the stops to ensure they maintain their distance between themselves and 16th placed Cape Town Spurs, who are facing automatic relegation. Finishing 15th will give The Natal Rich Boys a second chance at the promotion/relegation play-offs, although they will be hoping to finish the season on a better note than that.

AmaZulu invaded Cape Town Stadium to face Cape Town City and left with all three points to push themselves to 28 points from 23 matches.

SuperSport United suffered a 1-0 loss against TS Galaxy at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
