There's not much time left before the PSL transfer window closes on August 31, but before it does, we look at some of the deadline day signings which stood out in recent years.
In the past, Mamelodi Sundowns have stood out as the team to do some business on the final day of a transfer window.
The likes of Rivaldo Coetzee, Phakamani Mahlambi, Thabo Nthethe and the late Anele Ngcongca were signed by Sundowns on transfer deadline day in the past, as the 11-time Premiership champions used their pulling power to lure these players to Chloorkop before the window shut close.
In recent years, Kaizer Chiefs brought Daniel Akpeyi and Reeve Frosler on transfer deadline. While Akpeyi had a shaky start to life at Naturena, he has since proven to be someone they can rely on whenever he is called upon. Frosler settled in well to life at Naturena and has been a key figure at right back.
Another memorable deadline day signing is that of Aubrey Modiba from Cape Town City to SuperSport United in 2016. Modiba was one of SuperSport's most prized possessions and played a key role in their cup successes.
