Itumeleng Khune captained the Carling Black Label All Stars to victory over Stellenbosch FC on Saturday at the Carling Knockout Cup against Stellenbosch FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium and walked away with the Man of the Match award!

Khune won a healthy sum of R100 000 after being voted Man of the Match, with Kaizer Chiefs duo Ashley Du Preez and Mfundo Vilakazi getting the goals on the day.

In his post match interview, Khune mentioned how badly the All Stars wanted to beat Stellies and is happy with every player that took part, giving plaudits to the Diski Challenge players in the team.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Khune Bags MOTM & R100K On Comeback" story:

"Good performance, WRONG stage. If it was the DStv Prem... Let me keep silent..." says His Majesty Yellow PSL Pitbull.

"What a performance from Madala. He was outstanding and he repaid the favour to his fans who voting for him," says fredauth8785.

"What a performance from Madala, man of the match. Chiefs must recall him to the senior team and lead the team to a ten year drought. With extra thousands at his disposal, Savanah will feel his wrath," says Bafundiseni No2.

"Khune must be careful that his credit should not be blotted out of the legends book. He should do everything to haul himself out of what's killed the careers of many. Anyway, congrats to his performance of the day," says matemane.

"I'm glad Sundowns players were not allowed to play in this plastic cup, did you you that reckless tackle where he went for the young boy?" says Dominate-downs.

"There are 57 Downs players that's why... Rest easy bozza, your players still have to embarrass us at AFCON," replies De Paul.

"Sundowns know their priorities," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Pitbull.

"This is proof that Team of the Year is selected on favouritism. That's why some of us don't recognise these awards," says Dominate-downs.

"You can't reward a bad role model to kids this way, it's like saying to kids; go smoke nyaope and you will make it in life," says mazelesiphamandla.

"I beg to differ. Madala was superb, outstanding," replies gasadee6104.

"One mistake and all the good things he has done is forgotten. WOW!!!!. Remember, we are all humans and we are bound to 'off ramp' once in a while. If his performance deserved to be the MOTM, then why not?" replies Dinho.

"You're calling drinking a mistake? Nah, drinking is an intention. Khune did well, but his time is over. Taverns are waiting for him, he is over 50. Look at his phuza face," replies Moruled2.

Bafana Bafana players and SAFA have reached a memorandum of agreement with regards to possible payment structures if they win the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Senior players, captain Ronwen Williams, Percy Tau, Siyanda Xulu, Veli Mothwa and Themba Zwane signed the agreement on behalf of their teammates, while President Danny Jordaan, Vice President Bennett Bailey, CEO Lydia Monyepao and HOD David Molwantwa represented SAFA at the signing in Stellenbosch.

According to President Jordaan, Bafana Bafana players will pocket R131 million in bonuses if they manage to win the competition, but could come home empty handed if they fail to do so.

Jordaan mentioned that he wants the players to make the nation proud, as well as focus and perform at the continental showpiece.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "R131m Or Nothing: Jordaan's Message To Bafana" story:

"If that is the agreement, it means that the players are growing and have become patriotic for a change. They have stopped using the national team for personal gain. Personally, I do not believe Jordaan. At any rate the article seems to suggest that the players may get the whole prize money if they win the cup (it says the amount is believed to be in dollars).

"There is no way that the greedy SAFA hierarchy would agree to that and the players would never agree to anything that actually amounts to a no bonus structure as they know they won't win the cup," says msanisto.

"It makes sense, we're talking about bonuses here. They will get their salary, whether they win or not," says Lepasto.

"It's not like they going to win and stuff... They are coming home after the group stages," says phaks87.

"Ayiii this AFCON has all of Africa's powerhouses present. It's bravery for Bafana players to take such a risk," says makausemakause53.

"So it means they will come back empty handed because they won't will the cup," says blessingggcabashe9.

"The players signed this? Really? Who advised them that this is the best option? I am certain that they will not get out of the group. So, they come home with zero money? Wow. Okay, let us see what happens. For sure they will not win. They lost their last game to a very small team that has never won AFCON. The team scored 2 goals without reply!!" says Khothakhosi.
