With just about two months before his contract expires at Sekhukhune United, midfielder Sibusiso "Vila" Vilakazi's future is not clear, the Siya crew understands.
Siya sources close to the player and the club have indicated that even though his contract is coming close to the end of its term, there are no signs nor talks for his deal to be renewed yet.

The sources added that the current technical team is not sure if they will need the former Bafana Bafana midfielder going forward.
"The main problem is that the current technical team won't be using him that much. He is not in their plans. You know every coach has their own system of play and you find that other players don't fit in their plans and that's the case with Vila (Vilakazi) right now," said the Siya source.
"That's why his future is unclear for now. Since his contract is coming to an end at the end of the season, new contract talks should have started already but management is reluctant apparently because there is no recommendation from the technical team yet and that's the reason his future hangs in the balance," the source observed.
A second Siya source added that the club is also looking at Vilakazi's age and they want to bring in younger players to build a team for the future.
"He is 35 years of age now and the club is trying to cut on the average age of players and they are looking at bringing in more young players while dealing away with the senior players who are nearing their retirement stage. Vilakazi is one of those players who falls under that category and the club is deciding on cutting ties with some of them and he could be one of the few whose contracts won't be renewed when they expire," the source told Soccer Laduma.
Vilakazi hasn't played much this season with only eight games under his belt in the PSL (and five cup games too) with no goal to his name in either competition.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sekhukhune United for comment but no response was received by the time this story was published.
