The camp of former Royal AM midfielder Shaune Mogaila is expected to begin talks with SuperSport United, the Siya crew can reveal.

Mogaila left Royal AM as per mutual agreement, and as previously reported by Soccer Laduma, has been on the wanted list of Orlando Pirates, with SuperSport also understood to be keen on the player.

Sources have indicated that Matsatsantsa have made an enquiry about the midfielder, with indications that two parties are set to engage talks.

"The talks have apparently started and things are looking good. They could have wanted him to join training now, not looking at how the season is going. They are negotiating that he joins the team in July when they come back for the new season in pre-season training," a source revealed.

"Apparently they want him the start afresh with the other players, with both those who are there now and the ones who could be joining the team as well in the off-season," the source added.

Indications are that the biggest challenge in the deal would be the issue of Orlando Pirates' interest in the player.

"It's not a secret that Pirates have also been monitoring the player and that could derail the move for SuperSport, as you know most players want to play for the so-called big teams in South Africa. But a move to SuperSport United is on the cards for the player as things stand now," the source added.

Soccer Laduma contacted SuperSport United about the matter but there was no response from him by the time this story was prepared.
