Stanley Nwabali is likely to be joined by another Nigeria international in the PSL, sources have indicated to the Siya crew.

With so much speculation regarding his future following a successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign with the Super Eagles, Nwabali has countryman Faisal Sani closing in on a move to Mzansi’s topflight.

Nwabali has been linked with both South African giants in Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, while a move overseas is understood to be also in the plans for him.

As confirmed by Siya sources in Nigeria, Sani who has previously played for the Super Eagles, has a deal to Chippa United as good as done.

“Faisal Sani is close to concluding a deal with Chippa United. He is more than likely to play in South Africa next season. He is a good defender, a left-back who has been on the radar of the Super Eagles. He is currently on the books of Kano Pillars in Nigeria but a move to Chippa has been agreed in principle for him,” said a source.

Over the years, the Chilli Boys have managed to bring several players from Nigeria, including the likes of Daniel Akpeyi, James Okwuosa and Augustine Kwem, with Sani now likely to be the next.
