The Siya crew has been led to believe that Kaizer Chiefs are on the verge of handing young goalkeeper Lungile Nkosi a first-team deal. The latest development comes after the 20-year-old made a return to action following a nine-month spell on the sidelines owing to injury.

Prior to his injury, Nkosi had already been earmarked for a spot in the Naturena-based side’s first team with one eye on the outgoing Itumeleng Khune and a long-term contingency plan, though the injury put a damper on those plans.

Now, Siya sources have informed Soccer Laduma that the club are looking to tie the youngster down to a first-team contract. This publication understands that Nkosi will remain part of the club’s DStv Diski Challenge.
