Alan Clark, a SAFA Pro Coaching License holder, worked with Cavin Johnson at several clubs as his trusted assistant coach. After leaving South Africa to work in Europe, he has done something rare and succeeded on foreign shores as a Mzansi coach. Soccer Laduma caught up with him to find out about his journey and how he sees his friend and mentor performing at the Naturena-based club, having secured his second win since taking up the job on an interim basis. Furthermore, he opens up on the former Al Ahly assistant coach’s love of youth, reinvigorating older players and his style of play.
