Rising star Elias Mokwana has become one of the sought-after players in the DStv Premiership, with a move to one of the Big Three seemingly a real possibility in only his second season in the topflight. He is having an impressive second campaign with Sekhukhune United, having joined the club last year from Polokwane City Rovers in the second tier. The player’s impressive performances have also earned him the recognition of hard-to-please Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who included him in the provisional squad for the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers, although the midfielder didn’t make the final 23-man team for the two matches against Benin and Rwanda respectively. Meanwhile, the player’s employers at Sekhukhune are understood to be willing to listen to offers for the star, though any of the potential suitors will have to be prepared to pay big as he is on a long-term contract and has age on his side.
