It was one point that would have felt like three for the Birds after they managed to claw their way back from a two-goal deficit to land a 2-2 draw at the Dobsonville Stadium on Monday.

The draw saw Swallows move further away from danger and as things stand, are nine points clear of the drop zone, with six matches left to play.

Speaking to the media after the match, a visibly delighted Nyatama revealed the mandate he was given by the club's hierarchy to preserve their multimillion-rand Premier Soccer League status.

"Look, I always talk to the CEO, to the Chairman as well as our GM. Yeah, they only want their status. You know, the only thing that they want is to see the team staying in the PSL next season, so that's the only mandate at this moment," he told journalists.

Swallows will face TS Galaxy, Chippa United, Stellenbosch, SuperSport and Royal AM in their remaining games of the campaign.
