Aware that they cannot change what has happened in the past, Orlando Pirates have their minds fixed on securing a positive result in their first home match of 2024.
The Buccaneers are currently 13 points behind DStv Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and have themselves to blame for being where they are at the moment, having dropped points in matches they should have won.

Pirates take on Cape Town Spurs in their first home match of 2024 and are hoping to put smiles on the faces of their supporters with a victory that they can celebrate.
Defender Tapelo Xoki said they cannot change the past, so they will focus on trying to get as many points as possible, starting with the clash against Spurs tonight.
"As players, the most important points are Wednesday's points. We can't change the results of previous games. We gave our all in the games. Unfortunately, we did not get the points that we wanted. We can't look at that and think the season is finished for us. We have to play on Wednesday and it's a big game for us," Xoki said during Pirates' media open day on Monday afternoon.
"It's the three points that we have to make sure that we collect. We are playing at home and it's our first game of the year at home. We want to open the year nicely with our fans. That's the attitude and focus that we have."
