While there have been concerns for Orlando Pirates supporters ahead of the team’s cup match this weekend due to unavailability of some key members of the squad, there could be light at the end of the tunnel for the team.

Pirates will be away to AmaZulu at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday for their crucial Nedbank Cup quarter-final match which they need to win to get closer to achieving their goal of defending the trophy.

“There’s been noticeable progress for him, and he has been working on his return. It wasn’t that serious. The coach will have the final say,” said the source.

Sandile Mthethwa, Innocent Maela and Thabiso Sesane are some of the other players to be considered to fill in for the absentees at centre-back.
