Ex-Chiefs Player Molekwane Lends Helping Hand As Coach

Former Amakhosi right back Tlou Molekwane will be coaching in the National Women's League.

After retiring through injury, former Chiefs left back got a coaching job in the club's development.

Shaun Bartlett is one of many former Chiefs players who have gone into coaching.

Doctor Khumalo has spent a big part of his coaching journey as an assistant at Amakhosi.

David Mathebula is currently working as co-interim coach at Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

Former Amakhosi left back Ditheko Mototo is currently one of John Maduka's assistants at Celtic.

Former Amakhosi captain Neil Tovey is a league title winner as a coach.

Robert Nauseb is currently the assistant coaching of the Namibian national team.

Former Amakhosi captain Patrick Mabedi worked as an assistant coach at the club.

A former Kaizer Chiefs player has taken up a role in coaching, and Soccer Laduma looks at some of the Amakhosi players who went from playing to coaching.

The Siya crew has been informed that Tlou Molekwane, a player who came through the Amakhosi development before moving up to the first team, has joined National Women’s League club Ma-Indies for the upcoming campaign.

Molekwane, who also played for Bidvest Wits, Bloemfontein Celtic and Polokwane City, has an academy of his own called Tlou Molekwane Football Academy in Polokwane. 

While he continues to grow his academy, Molekwane will be helping out at Ma-Indies.

Molekwane is one of many former Amakhosi players who have gone into coaching, including the likes of Doctor Khumalo, Steve Komphela, Neil Tovey, Arthur Zwane, Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse, Ditheko Mototo, Patrick Mabedi, David Kannemeyer, Humphrey Mlwane and David Mathebula.
