Chiefs Clinch Back-To-Back Wins, Bucs Fall To AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 Sekhukhune United

Kaizer Chiefs secured back-to-back victories in the DStv Diski Challenge after beating Sekhukhune United 2-0 on Sunday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

Mthokozisi Balakasi gave Chiefs an early lead and Ntando Nkosi doubled their advantage early in the second stanza.

Orlando Pirates 0-1 AmaZulu

Orlando Pirates lost for the second time in three matches after a narrow 1-0 defeat against AmaZulu on Saturday afternoon at Rand Stadium.

Pirates had a host of chances in the first stanza as Njabulo Mndebele was one of the closest players to find the back of the net after he rattled the post in the first stanza.

Usuthu were decisive in the second stanza as scored what proved to be the winner with 23 minutes remaining.

Mamelodi Sundowns 1-1 Royal AM

Mamelodi Sundowns dropped points for the second successive game after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Royal AM on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sundowns dropped down to fourth on the table with eight points while AM slipped down to ninth with six points.

Marumo Gallants 2-2 Maritzburg United

Both Marumo Gallants and Maritzburg United saw their winless run stretch to three matches after a draw in a four-goal thriller on Saturday morning at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

An own goal by Phiwa Zuma on the half-hour mark gave Gallants the lead but Andiswa Sithole levelled matters for Unired just before the half-time break.

Zuma thought he had snatched the winner for the Team of Choice after giving them the lead in the last four minutes.

However, Gallants salvaged the share of the spoils with the equaliser two minutes before time.

Cape Town City 3-1 Chippa United

Cape Town City extended their perfect start to five matches after thumping Chippa United 3-1 on Sunday morning at Malta Park Sports Ground.

The Citizens stretched their lead at the top of the table to six points while Chippa dropped down to 14th on the table.

Richards Bay 1-2 Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows won their second game of the season after edging Richards Bay 2-1 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Sunday afternoon at Mpumalanga Stadium.

Thulani Gumede gave Bay an early lead but Duma restored parity for Arrows shortly before the half-time break.

Duma scored what proved to be the winner for Abafana Bes'thende and grabbed his brace just after the hour-mark.
