Cape Town Spurs 0-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs won back-to-back matches in the DStv Diski Challenge after defeating ten-man Cape Town Spurs 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Stadium.

Neo Bohloko sent Chiefs ahead shortly before the half-hour mark.

Spurs went a man down shortly thereafter, as Gerwin Esua was red-carded after he got his second yellow card.

Vela Khumalo's charges capitalized on their numerical advantage, as Jeremiah Thanyane doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time.

The win took Chiefs up to fourth on the table, four points behind third-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.

Cape Town City 0-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns ended their three-game winless run after beating Cape Town City 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Stadium.

The first stanza did not produce any goals, as Malibongwe Khoza broke the deadlock for Sundowns in the last four minutes with a header from a free-kick.

Keabetswe Ramotsei secured the three points for the Brazilians with the second goal in the last minute.

Sinethemba Badela's charges reduced the gap behind leaders Orlando Pirates to just a point in third place on the log.

SuperSport United 0-0 Polokwane City

Polokwane City could not beat ten men SuperSport United after a goalless draw on Sunday morning at Lucas Moripe.

Matsatsantsa were reduced to ten men with half-an-hour remaining but City could not take advantage, as the sides shared the spoils.

Richards Bay 2-1 Moroka Swallows

Richards Bay won their fourth game in a row after a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows on Sunday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Swallows broke the deadlock with six minutes left of the first stanza but Ntlonelo Bomelo equalised for Richards Bay just after the hour-mark.

Bomelo eventually found the winner for the Natal Rich Boyz in the last ten minutes and also completed his brace.
