Thwihli Thwahla went ahead with four minutes to go but 16-year-old Aphelele Nzimande levelled matters for the Buccaneers in the last minute moments after coming on a substitute.

Pirates remained at the top of the standings, equal on points with second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns but having a superior goal difference.
