It's been 12 years since Bafana Bafana kicked off the first and only Fifa World Cup on the African continent with a 1-1 draw against Mexico in 2010. Where are those South African players now?

Bafana made history by becoming the first host to fail to reach the knockout stages of the global showpiece.

After the 1-all stalemate with Mexica, Carlos Alberto Parreria’s troops suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Uruguay and shocked the world by beating France 2-1 in their last group stage clash.

Only three players that formed part of the Bafana 2010 World Cup squad are yet to retire. Bernard Parker recently joined TS Galaxy, Itumeleng Khune is still at Kaizer Chiefs and Tsepo Masilela is a free agent after being released by AmaZulu last season.
