Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has outlined his aims ahead of the clash against Algeria in the FIFA Series.

South Africa started on a disappointing note on and failed to overcome low-ranked Andorra.

The bronze medal finishers at this year’s Africa Cup of the Nations now face the 2019 African kings Algeria, in Algiers, and coach Hugo Broos aims to present a strong front.

According to the Belgian, the time for experimentation is over after a raft of new faces featured against Andorra, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in sight, scheduled for June against Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

“Yeah, there’ll be a lot of changes because we looked a little bit at both games and I think it was a good opportunity to give those young guys the opportunity to play last Thursday. It was not such a difficult opponent even,” Broos said, speaking via SAFA's media department.

At the moment, Bafana haven’t been beaten in open play for the seven matches and were eliminated on penalties against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the semi-finals of the AFCON.

Bafana’s most recent encounter with opposition from the North of the continent ended successfully after brushing the Atlas Lions of Morocco aside.

“The game was difficult. But if you compare with Algeria, there’s a lot of difference in quality so we need to put in our best team on Tuesday and we can’t afford ourselves to do experiments again so it’ll be a totally different team,” Broos said.

The previous encounter between Bafana and Algeria was during the 2015 AFCON group stage, where SA lost 3-1 under Shakes Mashaba.
