After Tuchel's decision to substitute Kane appeared to backfire, the German tactician explained that the 30-year-old needed to come off due to back pain.
"He couldn't keep going. He played with back pain and he couldn't keep going, his back froze up," he said, according to BBC.com.
Kane finished his European campaign with eight goals in 12 matches, while he has scored on 44 occasions across all competitions this season.
The Three Lions skipper joined Bayern at the start of the campaign in a club-record deal from Tottenham Hotspur, penning a four-year deal in Germany.
