The semi-final fixtures of this season's UEFA Champions League have been confirmed following Wednesday night's results.
On Wednesday, Bayern Munich beat Mikel Arteta's Arsenal to cement their place in the next round of the competition. A second-half goal from right-back Joshua Kimmich secured a 1-0 win for Thomas Tuchel's side and a 3-2 victory on aggregate.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, took the lead against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium through Rodrygo, before Kevin De Bruyne eventually equalised for last season's winners in the 76th minute. Unable to capitalise on their momentum, City were forced into extra time and then into a penalty shootout.
Following misses from Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic, the 14-time European champions qualified for the semi-final stage after winning 4-3 on penalties.
They join Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in the last four, after the German outfit advanced past Atletico Madrid and the French giants beat Barcelona over two legs.
Following a 2-1 loss in Spain in the first leg, BVB turned the tie around with a 4-2 victory over Atleti at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, while PSG also needed a second-leg comeback to book their semi-final place.
