Rodrygo Goes has reportedly refused to leave Real Madrid amid interest from top European clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City.

One of Real Madrid's Brazilian stars has reportedly shown a strong refusal to leave the club, despite the likelihood of Kylian Mbappe's arrival later this year.

Having scored important goals for the Spanish giants in the past, winger Rodrygo Goes struck twice for Los Blancos in their 2-0 win over Athletic Club in LALIGA on Sunday.

Amid his good form, however, there are concerns over his future at the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners ahead of Mbappe's expected arrival in the 2024/25 campaign.

Rodrygo already finds himself having to play outside of his favoured position – on the left side of attack – with Vinicius Junior preferred in that area by manager Carlo Ancelotti, and there is a worry that his minutes could dramatically decrease should Mbappe join the club.

According to El Largeuro, though, the 23-year-old is firmly committed to continuing in Madrid and has already made his unwillingness to move on clear.

This comes amid apparent interest from a host of top sides across Europe, such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

The report goes as far to say that Liverpool submitted an offer of €80 million (R1.6 billion) for the forward, but saw their proposal immediately rejected.

It is speculated that Real could still decide to sell Rodrygo, but only if it means they are able to secure between €100 million (R2 billion) and €120 million (R2.4 billion) for his signature.
