Inter Miami coach Gerardo Martino has explained Lionel Messi's absence for the second Major League Soccer game in a row as Luis Suarez saved the day on Saturday night.
Messi was absent for the 3-2 loss to Montreal last weekend but returned to help the side in the Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday.

The Argentine was then left out of the squad as Miami defeated D.C United 3-1 last night, with Suarez contributing with a brace.
With Messi expected to meet up with the Argentina national team in the coming days, Martino has exercised caution with the players injury.
"Messi's injury must be dealt with week by week, and we will evaluate it," Martino said.
"What is clear is that there is a goal with him, which is to play in the Concacaf quarterfinals.
"He has a muscle injury. The selection issue is for the people of the national team to talk about."
As for Suarez, he ha snow bagged six goals for the Miami outfit this season and has shown no problems of adjusting to life in the United States.
