According to Spanish publication Fichajes, the Red Devils are interested in Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez.
Transfermarkt values the forward at €110 million, although it remains unknown as to how much the 20-time English champions would be willing to spend to secure the Argentine's signature.
Martinez, 26, is believed to currently be in negotiations with Inter over a new deal, but the two parties are yet to reach a full agreement on the matter, with the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner's contract in Italy set to expire in 2026.
The striker is enjoying a fruitful campaign with the Nerazzurri so far, having scored 22 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions in his first full season as captain.
Of those 22 strikes, 19 of them have come in Serie A, making him the league's top goalscorer by seven goals.
