Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly has revealed that he hopes a certain Al Ahly star secures a move to Europe.
The defender Africa Cup of Nations Champions got their title defence off to a good start, as they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over minnows The Gambia on Monday.
A 1-1 draw in the other group match between Cameroon and Guinea ensured that Senegal currently sit on top of Group C ahead of their next fixture against the Indomitable Lions on Friday, 19 January.

With other continental heavyweights like Egypt, Ghana, and Nigeria having dropped points on the opening round of games, Koulibaly was asked if his Senegal had learned any lessons from those results.
According to KingFut, he responded: "Perhaps we watched the first match of the three teams.
“We know that the AFCON matches are tough, there are no surprises. We were aiming for a win without surprises.”
Asked if there was a conversation between him and Egypt national team and Al Ahly defender Mohamed Abdelmomen, the Al Hilal centre-back replied: “Yes, I watch every player, I love football, I see how all defenders perform.
“Abdelmonem has a bright future. I saw him in the Club World Cup; he is a promising player, and I hope he goes to Europe because he deserves it."
The 24-year-old has become a staple in Marcelo Koller's side this term, as he has already made 17 appearances so far, including three starts in the inaugural season of the African Football League.
His performance in a 2-2 draw with Mozambique was singled out by CAF, with the body labelling him as the player who had an "X Effect" during that match.
