Barcelona reportedly believe that, despite Xavi Hernandez's announcement that he will be leaving his post as coach at the end of the season, there is a possibility he will change his mind.

At the beginning of 2024, the former midfielder confirmed that he would be stepping down as head coach of his boyhood club once the campaign concludes.
This has forced Barca president Joan Laporta and club sporting director Deco to begin a search for the Spaniard's replacement, with names such as Hansi Flick, Thomas Tuchel and Roberto De Zerbi having been mooted as possible replacements for the 44-year-old.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana's hierarchy feel that Xavi could yet reconsider his position and end up staying at the Camp Nou beyond this season.
This is the hope for Laporta and Deco, with it is said they still believe in him to lead the club forward.
The same report claims that while there is a possibility that the 2022/23 LALIGA-winning manager could stay on in Catalonia, this will be contingent on whether or not his side is able to retain their league championship or if they can make the final of the UEFA Champions League.
