Chelsea proved too strong for West Ham United after registering a 5-0 victory in the London derby on Sunday afternoon.

Thiago Silva returned to the Blues line-up after missing the win over Tottenham Hotspur, while Christopher Nkunku returned to the match day squad on the bench.The Blues got the opening goal after 15 minutes as Cole Palmer bagged his 21st league goal of the campaign with a well-placed finish after latching onto a loose ball in the box.
The lead was doubled in the 30th minute in similar fashion to the first when the ball ricocheted into the path for Conor Gallagher, who sent a first-time volley into the far corner.
Six minutes later, the Blues had a third goal when Silva knocked the ball back into the path of Noni Maduke, who had the simple task of nodding home from six yards out.
After a disappointing first half, Chelsea continued the rout in the second half when Madueke raced in behind and turned provider to set up Jackson for the simple finish into an empty net.
The Hammers had a big chance to pull goal back on the hour mark when former Blues defender Emerson was slipped through on goal by Paqueta, but the full-back fired horribly wide with only the goalkeeper to beat.
However, Chelsea would go on to grab a fifth goal in the final ten minutes as Jackson completed his brace when he latched onto a through-ball by Moises Caicedo before tucking home from close range.
