Big-money Newcastle United have reportedly a Premier League-winning coach who could replace Eddie How next season.

The Magpies did well to finish in the top four last season following the arrival of the Saudi Arabian owners.

However, the team did not kick on this season and are unlikely to finish in the European places by end of the campaign.

As a result, the club could look to bring in a more successful manager to help take the team to newer heights.

According to HITC, former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has emerged as a potential successor to Howe next campaign.

Mancini is currently in charge of the Saudi Arabian national team but came underfire after the team's disappointing showing at the Asian Cup, where they got knocked out in the second round.

The Italian tactician also angered the Saudi Arabia Football Federation Yasser al-Mishehal after walking down the tunnel before Korea netted the final spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out.

Nevertheless, Mancini is no stranger to English football as he guided Man City to their first-ever Premier League title in 2012 while he also won the FA Cup,

The report from HITC claims the club are weighing up their options, although the team are still in the FA Cup where they will face Manchester City on Saturday.
