Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent a warning to one of his stars as the Premier League title races continues to heat up.

The Gunners kept themselves firmly in the Premier League title race on Wednesday evening after defeating Luton Town 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Thomas Partey started the win over Luton and addressed his future after the encounter.

"I know a lot of speculation has been going on, but for me, I'm really happy to be here and to continue playing for this club," Partey told reporters after the game.

Arteta has now stated that the Ghanaian should only have his head focused on the team during this important period.

"He better have his head here because we are playing for big things and that’s what we expect," the Spanish coach said, as per Goal.

"We need him because he’s a top player, a very important player for us and you can see on the pitch as well what kind of impact he can have for us.

"He’s our player, he’s got one more year’s contract and I’m really happy with him."
