Pitso Mosimane's Abha gave their survival push a massive boost by defeating the defending Saudi Pro League champions, which included N'Golo Kante.
Mosimane's charges came into the clash having suffered back-to-back losses in the league, conceding nine goals in tow games.

However, Abha bounced back on Friday evening after overcoming the defending league champions, who were without Karim Benzema.

Grzegorz Krychowiak opened the scoring for the home side in the 57th minute, before Jota pulled Al-Ittihad level six minutes later.
Abha restored their lead in the 69th minute through Hassan Al Ali before Fabian Noguera made the game safe with the third goal in the 73rd minute.
Mosimane's side now find themselves in 16th position, level on points with 15th placed Al Akhdoud, who dropped points on Thursday.
