According to Kooora, the Swiss tactician has decided to leave the former Mamelodi Sundowns man out of his squad to take on ENPPI.

It is claimed that 29-year-old's exclusion is for the sake of rest, with the forward having been an unused substitute in the Red Devils' 2-0 win over Simba SC in their second leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final last week Friday.

Tau has made 23 appearances for Al Ahly across all competitions this season, scoring six goals.

Koller's side are currently 11th in the league, but have seven matches in hand over current leaders Al Ittihad.

Four of the ex-Downs man's goals in this campaign so far have come in Egypt's top flight, while he scored one goal at the FIFA Club World Cup and has registered one so far in the Champions League.

More key players are expected to be missing for Ahly on Monday, such as Ali Maaloul and Mohamed El-Shenawy.

ENPPI are currently second on the table, although they have played eight more games than Koller's side.
