When the Saudi Pro League side appointed the Kagiso native at the beginning of the year, his objective was to keep the club in the nation’s top division.
While Mosimane’s tenure did not start in the best way, he has now amassed seven points from a possible fifteen in his first five matches as coach of the Leaders of the South.
In his most recent match, the ex-Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns tactician was able to lead his side to a 1-0 victory over Al Wehda and this has given Asian football training lecturer, Yahya Jaber, the confidence that the 59-year-old can successfully keep the team in the topflight.
"I am confident that Abha will remain without leaving for several factors,” Jaber started off by telling Okaz.
"The first of which is the management experience, the coach’s high capabilities, and the presence of some distinguished players, who will play a decisive role in this matter.
"He also considered the team’s matches against Riyadh, Al Akhdood, Al Fateh, Al-Shabab, Damak, Al Khaleej and Al Hazm as exceptional opportunities to win, collect more points and survive, God willing, and the Abha club also finds support.
"Tremendous and great support despite the difficult circumstances in its results; Which I believe is due to the poor selection of Tunisian coach Youssef Al Mannai, and that he is one of the most prominent factors in the instability of the technical team when he was supervising the team, and the team witnessed its worst technical and tactical stages and the ABCs of playing football, and from a point of view I see that the management succeeded in discovering the error and made important and decisive changes.

"Now the team has begun to unite, especially since the Al-Wehda match, which the team won with a goal for nothing."
