Mamelodi Sundowns shocked South African football on the January transfer deadline day by securing the services of Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch.
This signing sees Downs prize away another high profile baller from Pirates and the reigning DStv Premiership champions unveiled Lorch on the anniversary of their Teko Modise announcement.

Sundowns announce Lorch on the same day as Teko
Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Thembinkosi Lorch from Orlando Pirates on Saturday, 27 January, with the Buccaneers revealing the news the day before on Friday.
Lorch becomes the fourth player to arrive at Chloorkop during this January transfer window, as Masandawana continue to strengthen their star-studded squad ahead of the DStv Premiership and CAF Champions League resumption.
Sundowns' signing of Lorch is easily the highlight of SA's January Transfer window and sees him join the exclusive club of Pirates stars who made the switch to the Brazilians.
This club includes the late Gift Leremi, Lebohang 'Cheeseboy' Mokoena, MacBeth Sibaya, Oupa Manyisa, and of course, Teko Modise.
Lorch's signing was announced by Downs on the same day they announced Teko Modise's signing on Twitter, the 27th of January.

To add to the anguish for the Happy People, Sundowns announced Modise and now Lorch on Pirates and Premier Soccer League chairman, Irvin Khoza's birthday...
Lorch will have plenty of work to do if he is to match Modise's success at Masandawana. Dona spent six years Downs, winning two league titles, a Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout and the CAF Champions League.
