Morton on defunct clubs in SA

From the likes of Platinum Stars to fallen juggernauts like Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits, are examples of popular South African football clubs that have fallen by the wayside, creating an uncomfortable theme in the PSL of teams not lasting as long as they should.

In his latest video, Morton pointed what he describes as a "sad situation in South African Football right now" and how it's not sustainable for clubs to be bought out and stripped of their identity.

"We’ve lost some incredible clubs and have moved clubs away from their support bases. This cant continue," wrote Morton in the caption to his vlog shared on social media.

Morton started off his point by looking back at the DStv Premiership table back in the 2013/14 season, which included five teams that either have new names or cease to exist altogether.

"Two that hurt the most for me are Bidvest Wits, a club that had a massive history behind and Bloemfontein Celtic, they had the best supporters in the country," highlighted Morton.
