It has been confirmed who the match official will be for Al Ahly and Zamalek's Egypt Cup final on Thursday, a game the Red Devils will go into on poor form.
After it was postponed last season, the 2021 Egypt Cup final between the two giants of Egyptian football will take place at the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday.
According to KingFut, Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will take charge of the match alongside a team of Polish assistants, with the referee having previously overseen some important ties in Europe.
Marciniak was the match official in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, as well as in one of Liverpool's UEFA Champions League semi-final clashes against Villarreal last season.
Going into the Cairo Derby, Al Ahly will be hoping to defend their crown while their bitter rivals will be looking to complete a double after they claimed the Egyptian Premier League title earlier this year.
Pitso Mosimane's former team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Pyramids FC this past weekend, a result that has affected their league title chase, while Zamalek are unbeaten in their past seven matches in all competitions.
