SLTV: Nyirenda: Why Are Other Coaches Talking About My Players?
Baroka FC head coach, Wedson Nyirenda defended his goalkeeper after the player was called out for time wasting.
Head Coach Pitso Mosimane previously stated to the football fraternity about how he is aware of Elvis Chipezeze’s time-wasting antics, with the conversation having since resurfaced following Baroka’s 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates.
After the game, Nyirenda questioned why other head coaches are talking about his players, particularly Chipezeze, adding that he never discusses what other club’s players are doing on the field.
“Chipezeze is a good goalkeeper; I do not talk about other teams players, why should other coaches talk about my players? I am seeing nasty things from other players, I don’t talk about it. I concentrate on my own players; football is about your own players, that’s all,” he told the media.
“Some coaches when they lose, they have everything to talk about the other team, everything to talk about the referee, I have never done that, it’s football, you lose you lose, you draw, you draw, you win, you win, so concentrating on Chipezeze falling, but check how many times he is having contact.”
“We played Wits, he was kicked badly, the boy went down and then the same people complaining he went down, then why are you kicking him?” he added.
