Bidvest Wits shot-stopper, Brandon Peterson, has been one of the PSL’s standout goalkeepers, registering an impressive eight clean sheets in all competitions so far this season.

Before the football bug bit the 25-year-old, Peterson relays his upbringing in Elsies River, Cape Town.

Despite the gang violence and volatile nature of the community, the former Ajax Cape Town player always enjoyed athletics and sports during his schooling days.

Although he started playing football during the latter part of high school, his natural athletic ability was clear for all to see.

In this SLTV exclusive, the Clever Boys player shares the three teams he finds hardest to play against, his football icon, his relationship with head coach, Gavin Hunt, and more…

  • "Drug abuse was very high…"
  • "Gang infested…"
  • "My parents played a big role in my life…"
  • "Watching him made me want to become a goalkeeper even more…"
  • "Ajax had a goalkeeping crisis…"

Do you think it’s worth it that the league continues after the lockdown is over?
