Mariztburg United goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters has appealed to Soccer Laduma readers to give him their vote in a bid to remain in the fight for the Soccer Laduma Readers' Player of the Season awards.

Walters survived the first round cut in the goalkeeper category, with the second round having got underway on Wednesday, but it has been a sluggish start for the shot-stopper who finds himself with just a couple of votes to his name.

Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana number one Itumeleng Khune remains the leader of the pack for the second consecutive week, while Ajax Cape Town's Anssi Jaakkola also seems to be one of the favourites.

Orlando Pirates' Senzo Meyiwa completes the top three.

Bloemfontein Celtic's Patrick Tignyemb, has been voted off the category.
