Morgan Gould has explained what has been the driving factor behind the team’s form as of late.

SuperSport United will take on Kaizer Chiefs at the Mbombela Stadium on Friday evening in the Absa Premiership, with three points separating Matsatsantsa from their Gauteng rivals.

However, the Tshwane-based club has come a long way in the Absa Premiership, finding themselves at fifth place on the log, joint on points with Bidvest Wits at fourth.

“We are not special in any way, shape or form, it’s just hard work and no one is bigger than the other, we motivate one another,” Gould told the media.

“Although I haven’t been playing, but trust me I give 200% on the training field so that just makes them faster and think more on their feet.

“We just prepare the guys mentally, go roll out the coach’s plan and whatever the coaches want and just support the coach and see what happens in the game.

“We don’t look that far ahead, if you look at day by day what you need to improve, it will help. But we’ve got a game on Friday so that will be the main focus trying to get over this hurdle,” he added.
