Orlando Pirates head coach, Milutin Sredojevic believes that his side fully deserved the three points at the weekend.

Pirates left it late on Saturday afternoon, where an own goal from Keegan Ritchie saw Bidvest Wits hand over three crucial points to the Buccaneers, which took them to the top of the Absa Premiership league standings.

Speaking to the media after the game, Coach Sredojevic revealed that his side fully deserved the maximum points on the day, despite it coming from an own goal form Wits, adding that it is a gift from the football gods after his side’s countless amount of draws in the league.

“I think that we have worked very hard from the start. The game could have gone either way, right at the death we have won, I don’t believe that it has been stolen, I believe that we deserve this because this is how football gods are paying for all the draws we had where we could have the games,” Sredojevic told the media after the game.

“Football takes from you and sometimes it gives you,” he added.
