SLTV: Micho: We Have Been So Close…
Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has explained the importance of their preparations for the remaining fixtures of the Absa Premiership campaign.
Orlando Pirates played to a 0-0 draw last night when they hosted Mamelodi Sundowns at the Orlando Stadium, with Head Coach Micho reflecting on their upcoming challenges.
“If it’s not too much for our opponent who has dropped the same number of points, it’s not even for us,” Micho said.
“Out of those eleven, at least six of them we have been so close that we are supposed to win, a totally different story. However, certain things you cannot return.
“We have seven matches to go and mathematics, there are some matches that you are looking to win, but the important thing is to not lose them and one was, for example, today. Still 18 points to fight for, (and) still so many tough matches.”
In addition, the head coach revealed that the team will have to assess Sandilands ahead of their Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits this weekend after the goalkeeper was taking off during last night’s encounter.
“We have to see what it is medically with Wayne, he felt dizzy, unfortunately, him coming out denied us one extra attacking option in a situation when the opponent played with double full-backs on the right and left,” Micho added.
