SuperSport United head coach, Kaitano Tembo is confident in the quality of one of his new signings.

George Lebese completed a loan move from Mamelodi Sundowns to SuperSport during the January transfer window, this after struggling for game-time and being out of action for several months.

However, despite match fitness, the challenge for the player and the technical team, Head Coach Tembo still regards Lebese as a ‘big player’, adding that he has been really happy with the 30-year-old’s attitude so far.

“We are all aware of what George can give in terms of his quality, He is a big player, he’s played for Chiefs, he’s played for Sundowns, it says a lot about his quality as a player. We are aware that he has not been playing for the past six to seven months but I’m really happy and motivated with his attitude towards training and wanting to play again and play regularly,” Tembo told the media yesterday ahead of their clash against Orlando Pirates.

“It takes a lot for him to decide to leave a team like Sundowns and say – I want to go out there and play football and that is key. He has come in and jelled with the rest of the team, he looks happy.

“We are still trying to build his match fitness and I think against Pirates he will also play a role,” he added.
