SLTV: 'Chiefs And SuperSport Can Still Compete For The League'
Bafana Bafana international, Aubrey Modiba believes that both SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs can still compete for the league title.
Matsatsantsa will host Chiefs at the Mbombela Stadium on Friday evening in the Absa Premiership, as the Tshwane-based club looks to increase their three-point gap over Amakhosi.
SuperSport are currently in fifth place on the league standings, joint on points with Bidvest Wits at fourth, while Chiefs are behind at seventh.
However, despite neither side being in the top four, Modiba believes that there is still a long way to go for the title to be decided.
“We are ready for Friday, we’ve been preparing well for Kaizer Chiefs, it is going to be a different ball game compared to the games that we played in the last five games, so Ja it is going to be interesting game to watch because both teams need maximum points to go up the log because both teams have the chance to compete for the league,” he said.
“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves; we just have to take each game as it comes. Anything can happen, but right now I think it is too early to tell because you can win one game and go to number one on the log,” he added.
