After a scintillating 2021/22 UEFA Champions League final that saw Liverpool fall short to Real Madrid, reportes emerged suggesting that African star and Senegalese attacker Sadio Mane wants to leave Anfield.
The 30-year-old revealed before the match that he would make an announcement, and it has since been revealed that the reason behind his wanting to leave all comes down to wages.
Mane is currently earning around £100 000 per week; he is outside of the Reds' 10 highest earners. According to Sport Bild, the reason for the forward's refusal to extend his stay with Liverpool is because the club were against giving the forward the weekly £393 000 wage package he had requested.

Another hot topic that has been brought up is Argentina thrashing Italy in the third edition of the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions. This fixture sees the winners of the latest Copa America lock horns with the winners of the last European Championship.
La Albiceleste have now gone a record 32 games unbeaten with an attack that seems to be too menacing for most opponents, and the 2022 Finalissima is now the second major international trophy Lionel Messi has lifted.
