What does Teko 'The General' Modise think of Chiefs' transfer ambitions? Catch the debate on the Carwash by clicking on the podcast player below!
With the DStv Premiership transfer window wide open, all eyes are focused on Kaizer Chiefs and the club's next move. Amakhosi have been publicly vocal about the dire need to sign an out and out striker, with Victor Letsoalo high up on the Glamour Boys’ list. However, looking at the problems Chiefs are facing, forming Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana legend Teko Modise disagrees with Chiefs’ need for a striker. Speaking on the SL Podcast, The General states; “ [Stuart] Baxter must look at what he has already, he has really talented strikers, he must utilise them properly.”
Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town goalie Sean Roberts agrees with Teko, with both suggesting that Chiefs need a defender and not a striker. However, with Samir Nurkovic returning from a lengthy injury, hopefully, the Serbian striker can add some venom into the Sowetan giants’ attack!
On this episode of the Carwash, Roberts and Teko Modise discuss all the latest in the PSL; from fans marching to be allowed into stadiums, to the latest transfers. The boys also discuss the latest news behind Chiefs and the PSL finding them guilty for not honouring two fixtures in December 2021. Later in the show, Soccer Laduma international news correspondent Kurt Buckerfield joins to discuss the latest rumours involving Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe’s future, and more! 10 quick-fire questions makes a return, this time with South African goalkeeper playing in Northern Ireland, Jethren Barr!
