Speaking to Hlatshwayo’s representative, Mike Ntombela, he emphasised that ‘Tyson’ was happy at Wits and contracted to the Absa Premiership outfit until at least June 2022, however, a switch is not completely out of the picture.
“I think Thulani made it clear that he would like a new challenge, but subsequent to that he was offered a new deal by Wits and he wouldn’t have taken it if he was unhappy and felt he would be heading for the exit door a few months down the line,” said Ntombela.
“To be honest, it is probably up to the two clubs to discuss it. If they sit down and Wits get what they are asking for, then maybe it is possible. But as things stand, I can tell you that Thulani will still be at Wits next season.”
