On Tuesday, 7 February 2017 the ABSA Premiership resumed with Chippa United securing a 2-1 win against Baroka courtesy of goals from Thamsanqa Sangweni and Rhulani Manzini, while Maboke Matlakala struck for Bakgaga. Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker and Willard Katsande gave Kaizer Chiefs a 3-1 home win, with Rooi Mahamutsa getting the only goal for Free State Stars. Cape Town City smashed in three goals against Highlands Park, thanks to Lebogang Manyama, Letsie Koapeng and Judas Moseamedi. Ajax Cape Town were thumped 5-0 as Phakamani Mahlambi, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Gabadinho Mhango (brace) and James Keene gave Bidvest Wits an impressive win.
On Wednesday, 8 February 2017 Polokwane City and Maritzburg United played out in a 1-1 draw with goals from Jabulani Maluleke and Mohau Mokate. Themba Zwane scored the only goal of the game as Mamelodi Sundowns secured a win against Bloemfontein Celtic. SuperSport United beat Golden Arrows in a 5-2 thriller courtesy of goals from Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Thuso Phala, Cole Alexandra, Morgan Gould and an own goal from Chuikepo Msowoya, while the two Arrows goals came from Kudakwashe Mahachi and Lerato Lamola. Platinum Stars hosted Orlando Pirates where the encounter ended in a lacklustre 0-0 draw.
On Saturday, 11 February 2017 Kaizer Chiefs secured their second win in an away match against Maritzburg United with goals from Willard Katsande and Siphiwe Tshabalala, while Mohau Mokate struck for Maritzburg. Ajax Cape Town suffered another defeat against Cape Town City FC as Aubrey Ngoma and an own goal by Erwin Isaacs secured the 2-0 victory. Golden Arrows scored two goals courtesy of Nkanyiso Cele and Knox Mutizwa to rule out Bloemfontein Celtic's Mpho Maruping strike. Orlando Pirates suffered a heavy blow against Mamelodi Sundowns as the Pretoria-side put six goals past the Buccaneers' defence. The goals came from Themba Zwane, Ricardo Nascimento, Percy Tau (brace) and Thapelo Morena (brace).
On Sunday, 12 February 2017 Highlands Park and Polokwane City played out to a 1-1 draw as Peter Shalulie scored for the home side and Sipho Jembule for City.
