Two Youngsters Set For Platinum Stars Trials

Two youngsters from Shumba Football Development, Mduduzi Shezi and Siphiwe Matlala, will attend preseason with Platinum Stars ahead of their 2015/16 campaign. Check Out The Soccer Laduma TV Guide Shezi, a 20-year-old attacking midfielder, and 18-year-old centre back, Matlala, impressed during a recent friendly between SFD and Dikwena, and were then invited to join up with the PSL side with the intention of signing them if they prove their worth. The Phokeng-based outfit have promoted a number of youngsters through their ranks in recent years, and head coach, Cavin Johnson, has proven on multiple occasions that he believes in youth. One of the men helping to develop players like Shezi and Matlala at Shumba is coach, Sinesipho Mali, who has recently been invited to attend a World Football Academy Periodisation Mentorship in Holland, a course that would greatly help his development. After the mentorship, for which he is looking for sponsor, Mali will be able to sign up for the WFA's Expert meeting in Barcelona where he will be alongside some of the world's best up and coming coaches.
