Promotion hopefuls Swallows FC are set to resume their title-chasing campaign after the PSL break without their sponsors In2IT Technologies, following an alleged R30 million scandal involving the company.
It was reported at the weekend in City Press that the Gauteng government has been accused of allegedly using the Coronavirus outbreak to rush through a big information technology contract without following proper tender processes.

It has been alleged that the R30 million contract was to provide Gauteng's e-government department with IT services.
The contract was allegedly won by In2IT Technologies – the sponsors of the Dube Birds, who have been itching for a return to Mzansi's top-flight since their relegation from the Absa Premiership at the end of the 2014/15 season as a debt-ridden club under previous ownership and management.

Swallows chairman David Mogashoa has been vocal in crediting Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi for the revival of the club, after the two facilitated a deal to buy the NFD status of Maccabi FC last year to bring the Dobsonville-based club back from the ABC Motsepe League.
Following the R30 million scandal that has been getting coverage in the media – both print and broadcast – Swallows have surprisingly announced parting ways with their sponsors.
"Swallows FC and IN2ITTechnologies have decided to mutual terminate our partnership," Swallows confirmed on Twitter today (Tuesday).

"We have decided to give our sponsors In2IT time to deal with their current dispute with Gauteng Provincial Government. We are grateful for the journey we have walked with them. But we feel it's important that they be given time to deal with this matter. Thank you In2IT," Mogashoa tweeted.
The PSL went into the COVID-19 enforced break with Swallows in second place on the second tier league standings and behind Ajax Cape Town, and with a realistic chance for promotion to the elite league.
