Football Betting Tips

Liverpool go into their Premier League match with Stoke City on Saturday, November 29, at Anfield having had a bad run in the preceding weeks both domestically and in Europe. The Reds have lost four out of their last five matches in all competitions which has seen Brendan Rodgers' side drop to 12th spot on the English Premier League table, and are now 16 points adrift of league leaders, Chelsea. Their UEFA Champions League campaign looked to have swayed in the right direction, but on Wednesday evening, they conceded an 87th-minute equaliser in Bulgaria to draw 2-2 with Ludogorets Razgrad. Stoke, who are only one place and one point above their hosts, lost their last game 2-1 to newly-promoted Burnley. Going into this tie, Mark Hughes will take heart from their impressive away run where they have already beaten champions, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.   Sunderland, who are in action against league pace-setters Chelsea on Saturday, November 29, are chasing a third successive win against the Blues in all competitions. The Black Cats got the better of Jose Mourinho's troops when they came from a goal down to snatch a shock 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge last season. Sunderland have lost just three times in the league this season, but having drawn seven times, it means they see themselves closer to the relegation zone in 14th position. Former Chelsea midfielder, Gus Poyet, now in the helm at the Stadium of Light, is relishing his latest meeting with the Blues after helping the club lift the FA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup during his four-year spell at Stamford Bridge, having arrived in 1997. Blues manager, Jose Mourinho will attempt to avenge last season's defeat. They will be oozing with confidence following their 5-0 victory at Schalke, which confirmed their passage into the knockout stage of the Champions League.   Premier League strugglers, West Bromwich Albion, are in action against Arsenal on November 29, in Saturday's first English Premier League encounter of the day at the Hawthorns. The Baggies have only beaten Arsenal once in eight games at home with that feat coming back in their 2-1 win in October 2005. The Gunners have won 11 of the 16 Premier League meetings both home and away, but lost their last league outing at home to Manchester United when they went down 2-1. Arsene Wenger's troops however bounced back on Wednesday evening when they recorded a 2-0 over Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League to seal a place in the second phase for the 15th season running.   With no action in the Absa Premiership this weekend, SuperSport United will host cup holders, Platinum Stars, in the Telkom Knockout final at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, November 29. Matsatsantsa a Pitori are aiming to claim the trophy for the first time since it's inception. Since the arrival of former Bafana Bafana mentor, Gordon Igesund, the club's fortunes have changed for the better. Dikwena will be looking to become the first club to win the title on three occasions since the first one was held back in 2006. The Phokeng side have already dispatched the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs en-route to the final.   Second-placed Southampton, who have been enjoying a rich vein of form since Dutch great, Ronald Koeman, took over the reins, entertain Premier League champions, Manchester City on Sunday, November 30 at St Mary's Stadium. The Saints are unbeaten in their last three meetings with City at home. They have so far in this campaign claimed eight wins out of their last 10 league games. The Citizens who have kept their hopes alive of Champions League last 16 qualification, following their remarkable 3-2 win over Bayern Munich, will once again be without Edin Dzeko, Aleksandar Kolarov and David Silva for this tie who are still side-lined with calf and knee problems respectively. However both Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are available having been suspended midweek in the Champions League.   If you are a betting person, here are tips ahead of the fixtures brought to you by Soccer 6 and Kaizer Chiefs legend, Shane McGregor.    For more info on this and other fixtures, go to the Soccer 6 website here or the Soccer 6 mobi-site here!   LIVERPOOL V STOKE CITY   League position: Liverpool 12th and Stoke 11th   Useful facts: Liverpool are playing football that belongs in the relegation zone, and Brendan Rodgers' Anfield revolution looks like it could fall flat on its face. He has spent a small fortune on poor quality players and, while he refers to the current situation as 'the second curve of development', the truth is that the Reds have gone over the curve and crashed into the bushes. Stoke may very well fancy their chances in this encounter.      Shane McGregor: Liverpool are my team, but they're not playing well. Draw.   SUNDERLAND V CHELSEA   League position: Sunderland 14th and Chelsea 1st   Useful facts: To be honest, Sunderland aren't a joy to watch at the best of times. They have an old squad packed with hardworkers, and they often rely on Adam Johnson to try a few tricks to lighten the mood. The Chelsea juggernaut will likely roll into the Stadium of Light and pummel the Black Cats. Expect a Blues win here.      Shane McGregor: Chelsea win. They're playing magnificently.    WEST BROMWICH ALBION V ARSENAL    League position: 13th and Arsenal 8th   Useful facts: West Brom have an emerging star in the form of Saido Berahino in their ranks – the kid scores goals with the ease of a proven predator. It's arguably only a matter of time before he swaps the Baggies for a more glamorous setting. The 21-year-old will fancy his chances against the Gunners porous defence. In addition, if Arsenal don't start putting some winning performances together soon, the pressure will only intensify in the race for a top four finish.       Shane McGregor: Draw.    SUPERSPORT UNITED V PLATINUM STARS   League position: United 10th and Stars 13th   Useful facts: In the Telkom Knockout final, SuperSport take on cup specialists Platinum Stars. You can bet your bottom dollar that Gordon Igesund will sell the shirt off his back to try and win this game. However, Stars know how to get the job done in finals and Dinaledi will be revved up for this clash.    Shane McGregor: SuperSport to bounce back after losing to Pirates with a win.   SOUTHAMPTON V MANCHESTER CITY   League position: Southampton 2nd and City 3rd   Useful facts: The Saints' out of body experience seems to be continuing, and they incredibly find themselves in second place on the log. It is nose bleed territory for a side who are definitely not expected to be right up there. If they can manage a win over City, perhaps they could go on to stage a shock bid for a top four finish.     Shane McGregor: I'm going to go for a draw.
