Kaizer Chiefs
Reyaad Pieterse: 7
He had a good game between the sticks for Chiefs. He did not have much to do, but that was because of how he marshalled his defence. For the most part he dealt well with crosses into the box and made some saves. There was nothing he could do to prevent the goal. He made a good save to deny Kebede from long range in the 40th minute. He made a great one-on-one save to deny Mnyamane in the 66th minute.
Siboniso Gaxa: 6
He was nowhere really to be seen in the match. He did his defensive duties well, but offered very little in terms of attack down the flank.
Erick Mathoho: 6
He had an okay game in his centre-back role. He could have been more commanding inside the box defensively at set-piece time and offered more in attack as well at set-piece time. There was one occasion in the second half where he tried a silly back-heel inside the Tuks box which led to nothing.
Lorenzo Gordinho: 6.5
He had a solid game for the most part in his centre-back role. He looked comfortable, read the game well and made some crucial tackles, not to mention clearing the ball off the goalline on one occasion. He was, however, a little unlucky to see Monyai's shot in the 71st minute deflect off him and find its way into the goal – still it may have been a goal even if he didn't touch it.
Tsepo Masilela: 6
He had a really quiet in his left-back role. Defensively he was on point, but offered very little in attack down the flank. He was shown a yellow card in the 92nd minute for a professional foul.
Siphiwe Tshabalala: 6
At times he showed sparks off brilliance, but he also went missing for large portions of the match largely due to the defensive work of Jaure. He tried his luck from long range in the 20th minute, but his shot sailed over the target. He created Chiefs' only goal of the game in the 26th minute when he drove into the box from the right and squared for Parker to turn home.
Willard Katsande: 6
Defensively in the first half Katsande was superb and he controlled the midfield battle. In the second half he went to sleep a little bit which allowed Tuks to put pressure on the Chiefs goal.
Reneilwe Letsholonyane: 6
He blew hot and cold throughout the match. The first half saw him in the thick of the action with shots on goal and his ability to create scoring chances. The second half saw him struggled as Tuks upped the pace of the game. His finishing in front of goal was also poor. He was put through on goal in the eighth minute by Parker, but fired wide from 14-yards out when he should have hit the target at the very least. In the 12th minute he showed his creative prowess when he played Abraw into space on the edge of the box, but the striker fired wide of the target. He fired over the crossbar from 20-yards out in the 80th minute after a poor corner clearance from Tuks.
George Lebese: 6
He had a really quiet night by his standards down the left flank. He provided a pin-point cross from the left flank in the 43rd minute which found Abraw inside the box, but headed over the target. He was substituted in the 73rd minute due to injury.
Bernard Parker: 7
He was superb in the first half and constant threat in attack for Chiefs. In the second half, however, he was starved of possession because his midfield went to sleep. He provided a great through ball for Yeye in the eighth minute, but the latter shot wide of goal. He got Chiefs' only goal of the game when he showed good control on the turn in the 26th minute to stroke home a right-sided cross from Tshabalala. He was substituted in the 83rd minute.
Camaldine Abraw: 6
He looked really exciting at times and extremely quick in attack. In the first half he was a threat in attack, but saw very little of the ball in the second half. He found himself in a good scoring position in the 12th minute thanks to pass from Yeye, but he fired wide from edge of the box. In the 43rd minute he got onto the end of a good left-wing cross from Lebese, but headed over the target from 12-yards out.
Substitutes
Siphelele Mthembu: 6
He came on in the 73rd minute for the injured Lebese and did not have that much impact on the game. He was, as usual, a good target man, but saw very little of the ball and had no attempts on goal.
Ovidy Karuru: N/A
He came on in the 83rd minute and did not have enough time to make an impact on the game.
Tuks
Washington Arubi: 6
He did not have much to do in goal for Tuks as Chiefs shooting was poor and often off target. There was nothing he could do to prevent the goal either.
Willem Mwedihanga: 6.5
He did quite well in defence as he was able to keep the likes of Lebese and Masilela quiet in attack. Howevr, he offered very little going forward down the flank.
Khaya Gwala: 6
He had a decent game in the centre of defence and made some important tackles to break up Chiefs attacking play.
Tebogo Monyai: 7
He was solid in his centre-back role and led with his high work-rate. He also scored his side's equalising goal in the 71st minute after a poor clearance at a corner-kick resulted in him firing the ball home from 16-yards out.
Partson Jaure: 7
He had a good game in his left-back role, a position he had never played before, as he kept the likes of Tshabalala and Gaxa quiet in attack. He won the 'man of the match' accolade for his efforts.
Thabiso Nkoana: 6
He had a poor first half and was really not in the game. He looked lively at the start of the second half, but faded quickly. He had a long range shot in the 55th minute which went inches wide of the target. He was substituted in the 61st minute.
Ronald Ketjijere: 7
He was okay in the first half and did his job. In the second half, however, impressed as he pressurised the Chiefs midfield and gave them very little time on the ball – this allowed his team to attack more and create scoring chances.
Vuyisile Ntombayithethi: 6
Was one of Tuks better players in the first half and looked lively when on the ball. However, in the second half he struggled with the pace of the game. He tried his luck from long range in the 28th minute, but saw his effort sail over the crossbar. He was substituted in the 68th minute.
Khethukuhle Zwane: 6
He saw very little of the ball throughout the game, but did have one attempt on goal which was well-saved by the keeper. He did not offer too much in terms of attack down the flank.
Getaneh Kebede: 7
He was a real menace in attack for Tuks, but only came into the game late in the first half. He had a long range shot on goal in the 40th minute which was well-saved by Pieterse. He played a great through ball for Mnyamane in the 66th minute, but he failed to beat the keeper in a one-on-one.
Atusaye Nyondo: 6
He did not see much of the ball, but worked hard upfront for his teammates. He had a long range shot on goal in the fifth minute which missed the target. He was shown a yellow card in the 86th minute. His best asset was his off-the-ball running which allowed his teammates to find space. He was substituted in the 88th minute.
Substitutes
Thabo Mnyamane: 7
He came on in the 61st minute and had a positive impact on the game in an attacking sense. He got into good areas and could have scored a goal in the 66th minute when he broke through on goal, but was superbly denied in a one-on-one with the keeper.
Mpho Maruping: 7
He came on as a substitute in the 68th minute and had a positive impact on the game. He pushed forward from midfield and created a few problems for the Chiefs defence with his off-the-ball running and his clever passing.

He came on in the 88th minute and did not have enough time to make an impact on the game.
